As Co-Head of Problem Development at INTEGIRLS, I oversee the creation of innovative and challenging problems for competitions, ensuring they engage and inspire participants. I design comprehensive guidelines to support problem writers and test-solvers, helping them craft high-quality, well-structured problems that align with the competition’s goals.
In addition to problem development, I conduct training sessions to mentor new problem writers. These sessions focus on effective techniques for creating instructional and engaging problems, empowering the team to contribute thoughtfully to the competition’s success.
MATHCOUNTS Head Coach

As the MATHCOUNTS Head Coach, I developed a comprehensive curriculum designed to help students excel in the highly competitive MATHCOUNTS program. This curriculum emphasized building a strong foundation in mathematics while teaching advanced problem-solving techniques to prepare students for competition success. I also created instructional materials, including slideshows and handouts, that featured challenging problem sets and effective strategies tailored to the needs of the team.
Through this structured approach, I successfully guided over 12 students to qualify for the Texas state competition. Notably, two of these students achieved top-10 placements in the individual standings, demonstrating the effectiveness of the program and their dedication to mastering complex mathematical concepts.
Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS) Coach
Laurel Mountain Elementary, RRISD | Aug 2023 – Present | Austin, Texas | Hybrid
As a MOEMS Coach at Laurel Mountain Elementary, I have worked to prepare students for the national Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS) competition. My coaching includes enhancing the existing school curriculum by introducing advanced topics such as number theory, basic combinatorics, and geometry. These additions help students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts while strengthening their analytical and logical reasoning skills.
In addition to curriculum development, I provide targeted instruction in competition math methodologies to build students’ problem-solving capabilities. I also proctor and administer monthly MOEMS competitions, enabling me to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement. This hands-on approach ensures that each student is equipped to excel and gain confidence in their abilities.
